Partisan Arise - Synopsis

A scifi Dystopia by Suave Qui Peut Films, directed by Jule Japhet (2013).
2030. A cloistered woman on a mission, Mnesya, sorts then archives books to her wetware brain implant, capturing the last parcels of freedom of a world obsessed with control. The mechanical and repetitive task hopelessly turns the woman into a machine. Marching towards dehumanization, Mnesya is shaken by vivid dreams and the remembrance of Loba, The Walker. The discovery of a mysterious box reconnects her to emotions and a sense of purpose. Is she ready to give up the rythm of the machine to listen to her own vibration? Resistance. Arise

Partisan Arise premiered at the 2013 CinefestOZ, where a charity event was held to raise awareness of Lamp Inc.’s Room 226 support for young children in the South West of Western Australia. Beautiful metallic and Diasec prints of stills from the film were sold to raise funds for Room 226.

Following the film premier a panel discussion with the directors and actors, Jule Japhet, David Wenham and Greg Sneddon.
